Early detection and response to invasive forest pests is a critical activity to protect our forests.  Amber Neils from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development , Pesticide and Plant Pest Management Division will provide a learning opportunity aimed to educate and enlist the help of everyone in our area in the early detection of invasive forest pests such as Asian Longhorned Beetle, Spotted Lanternfly and Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, in hopes of preventing their local establishment.  Amber will describe these pests of concern, how to identify them and proper reporting mechanisms as well as answer any questions regarding these or other pests of concern.
